Day 102 - Jimi Hendrix Days

I had a surfeit of photos on the weekend but nothing for today - just boring old school, nothing presented itself during the day that I wanted to photograph. At home I went on the prowl and wandered into my son's old room where this portrait of Jimi lives - painted by my mother for her then teenaged grandson who was in love with Jimi Hendrix in those days. His tastes in music have broadened since. He still plays modern melodies but is also into jazz and classical music on his double bass, cello and piano. My mother still paints and is having fun with water colours and pastels these days.
